The new showroom of opened last Saturday morning in the heart of Predappio Antaridi and the innovative PredappioLiberty project, inaugurated in the presence of Mayor Roberto Canali. An investment meant to show deep roots and care for the area where the company was founded over 50 years ago by Roberto Antaridi, while also launching new challenges for the future.
This vision was outlined by Mirco Antaridi, the company’s CEO, which now has over 40 employees. Greeting everyone present—many locals from Predappio and friends from across the region—he said: “We’re a company with roots here; this is where we took our first steps to get where we are now, and the ambitious goals we’ve set for the future will be guided by head and heart right here.”
Their bond with the area and its history also shows in the decision to launch the PredappioLiberty project, previously announced through the podcast Il paese inventato, which tells the city’s story in an engaging, professional way.
PredappioLiberty is a hub of artisan workshops created to craft unique objects that stand the test of time and trends, drawing inspiration from the style and elegance of our past, with an eye on the future.
A large part of the showroom is devoted to PredappioLiberty, spotlighting products already designed and for sale, such as the Opera radio—an ideal blend of vintage elegance and modern tech—and a line of bags and backpacks, all made by skilled local artisans, celebrating the territory to build a community that preserves know-how and age-old techniques.
“The radio used to be at the heart of Italian homes, but over time it lost that central role,” says Mirco Antaridi. “We wanted to relaunch it as a design object, made with materials shaped by expert hands, reviving past aesthetics and making it contemporary with the latest technologies that also deliver high sound quality. This project also led to a collaboration with the Don Bosco Vocational Training Center of the Salesian Work in Forlì, where during the school year I guided students as they built ten radios in their lab.”
After the ribbon-cutting, several free guided tours brought the city to life throughout the day, helping everyone discover more about the rationalist architecture that defines Predappio on the 100th anniversary of its founding.
The opening of the Predappio showroom is part of Antaridi’s plan to expand its presence in the area which, in addition to the headquarters in Fiumana, has included a showroom in Milano Marittima since May.
